Let’s Go! Science Show
Years K-6 (Early Stage 1, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3)
Feast your eyes on spectacular science demonstrations and giggle along to silly science humour. With a basket packed for a picnic, the presenter pulls out some amazing science tricks using a ball, a baguette, a banana, and much more. Featuring super cool liquid nitrogen, this fun-filled show is packed with laughs and audience participation. Perfect for a special science event, the ‘Let’s Go! Science Show’ is suitable for a mixed audience of students and parents. This show was first performed in schools and at family events for National Science Week in 2022 and 2024 and was previously called the ‘Creative Science Show’.
The Let’s Go! Science Show features science topics from a range of Creative Science primary school shows, including properties of materials, states of matter, gravity, and adaptations of plants and animals.
Demonstrations include:
– Punching cornflour slime
– Centre of gravity: sumo wrestler and ballerina
– Spinning plate
– Properties of liquid nitrogen
– Freezing lettuce
– Frozen frog
– Popping can
– Banana hammer
– Super cool rubber band and handball
The ‘Let’s Go! Science Show’ includes content relevant to the following Syllabus Outcomes:
STe-4MW-ST A student identifies that objects are made of materials that have observable properties.
ST1-6MW-S A student identifies that materials can be changed or combined.
ST2-6MW-S A student describes how adding or removing heat causes a change of state.
ST3-6MW-S A student explains the effect of heat on the properties and behaviour of materials.
STe-5PW-ST A student observes the way objects move and relates changes in motion to push and pull forces.
ST1-8PW-ST A student describes common forms of energy and explores some characteristics of sound energy.
ST2-9PW-ST A student describes how contact and non-contact forces affect an object’s motion.
ST3-8PW-ST A student explains how energy is transformed from one form to another.
ST3-9PW-ST A student investigates the effects of increasing or decreasing the strength of a specific contact or non-contact force.
Primary School Booking Terms and Conditions
2025 Price: $690 + GST ($759 including GST) per session
Duration: 50-60 minutes per show including question time
Audience size:
Up to 120 students in venues with no stage.
Up to 240 students in large venues with a raised stage and space for students to sit comfortably with an unobstructed view of the stage.
Payment options: direct transfer or card payment
Requirements: Well-ventilated indoor venue or sheltered outdoor area, large table (e.g. trestle table), access to a power point.
We can present up to 4 sessions per day. Please allow 1 hour for setup in the venue and at least 10 minutes between sessions for equipment to be reset.
Details of risk assessments and public liability insurance are available on request and all Creative Science presenters have Working with Children clearance.
